Looking for something special? Out of a passion for dolls and the Victorian and Edwardian eras, Marie Rippingale began making Teddy Bears and Gollies using the sewing skills handed down by her grandmother, unable to find the bears she was looking for. This initially started as a hobby, making bears for her daughters about six years ago, but since then her work has also included Bear Purses and Gollies.

Each piece is a one off design, made in the old fashioned traditional way, and often reflecting the nostalgia of long past childhoods. There is now a definitive range of Bears and Gollies, but Marie's skills now allow her to offer a restoration service, for those yesteryear bears which need that extra special care.
